# Introduction

Akarshak Institute for advanced farming (since 2018), originally a Noida based firm, relocated to Panchkula (Yr 2024), is a young but fast-growing organisation into the field of advanced Soil-less farming techniques like Hydroponics, Saffron cultivation, Turmeric/Ginger cultivation, including multilayer organic farming

In the yr. 2018, the organisation was brought into existence for the sole purpose to create awareness and spread the knowledge at national level related to advanced farming techniques thereby facilitating transformation of traditional inefficient systems towards modernised agricultural and farming practices.

Introducing Ramesh Geraa (Founder & Director)

Ramesh Gera (65 Yrs.), the founder & director of the company, originally belongs to Dist. Hisar of Haryana, and comes from an agricultural family background, is a qualified Electrical Engineer from NIT Kurukshetra, MBA in Operations Management, is also a certified Master Black Belt in Six Sigma and certified Lead Assessor for Quality Management System ISO-9000.

With a 35 yrs. of diversified & rich work experience from MNCs of high repute, he (Ramesh Gera) got exposure to all such techniques of advanced farming from his official overseas trips to countries like Japan, South Korea, Taiwan and a few more European and African Countries.

In the yr. 2017, at the age 58 yrs, in-line with his passion and deep-rooted interest in advanced farming, took voluntary retirement from work, and started working with full dedication and commitment on all such techniques of farming through self-designed lab equipment at home.

Work progression (history)

With an aptitude towards research & development, through relentless, day and night working on self-designed lab equipment, with all the experiences of failures and successes, witnessing various ups-n-downs, sooner and later we started getting success in the subjects one-after-another and went on adding new subjects to our kitty in advanced farming.

Yr. 2019: launched Akarshak Hydroponics (MSME registered firm)

Yr. 2021: launched Akarshak Saffron Institute (MSME registered firm) 

Yr. 2022: launched Kanika Microgreens for Microgreens cultivation

Yr. 2023: added international wing for conducting training programs for oversees candidates

Yr. 2024: added Multilayer organic farming and Turmeric/Ginger cultivation
