Akarshak Institute of Advanced Farming (since 2018), an MSME-registered company, originally Noida-based, has relocated to Panchkula (Yr. 2024), is a young but fast-growing organisation in the field of advanced Soil-less farming techniques like Indoor Saffron cultivation, Cordyceps (Keedajadi) cultivation, Hydroponics, Aeroponics, Aquaponics, Microgreens, including Multilayer Organic Farming.
Our sole purpose of existence is to create awareness and spread the knowledge at national level related to advanced farming techniques thereby facilitating transformation of traditional inefficient systems towards modernised farming practices.
Our vision is to facilitate the transformation of traditional, inefficient Indian agricultural & farming systems & practices to low-cost, resource-efficient, advanced techniques with lucrative returns.
Our Mission is to Create high paying Agri-entrepreneurial work opportunities for educated youth of India.

Ramesh Gera (67 Yrs.), founder & director, born and brought-up in Dist. Hisar of Haryana, comes from an agricultural family background, is a qualified Elect. Engr. from NIT Kurukshetra (1980), MBA in Operations Management (2008) is also a certified Master Black Belt in Six Sigma and certified Lead Assessor for Quality Management System ISO-9000.
With a 35 yrs. of diversified & rich work experience from MNCs of high repute, he (Ramesh Gera) got exposure to all such techniques of advanced farming from his official overseas trips to countries like Japan, South Korea, Taiwan and a few more European and African Countries.
In the yr. In 2017, at the age of 58 yrs, in-line with his passion and deep-rooted interest in advanced farming, he took voluntary retirement from work and started working with full dedication and commitment on all such techniques of farming through self-designed lab equipment at home.
National Recognitions:
In a remarkably short span of 7 years, the company and Ramesh Gera, personally, have gained national recognition. The Sansad TV channel of the Parliament House has recently recognised him as a Green Hero for the year 2025.
Other than this, in the years 2022 to 2025, the company (Akarshak Hydroponics & Akarshak Saffron Institute) has been rated as 2nd/3rd position amongst the top 10 in the country.
Many prominent national News Channels, many print media, and prominent magazines have given special recognition and place in their subscriptions with success stories.
With the noble purpose of creating awareness and spreading knowledge across the nation, the company primarily conducts training programs on the subjects of advanced farming, including indoor saffron cultivation and Cordyceps (Keedajadi) cultivation.

We have all the labs equipped with all the required equipment, facilities and tools. The labs are live, working with variety of growing crops. These labs are used only for demo purpose and experimentation for hands-on coaching to our registered candidates.
With an aptitude towards research & development, through relentless, day and night working on self-designed lab equipment, with all the experiences of failures and successes, witnessing various ups and downs, sooner and later we started getting success in the subjects one-after-another and went on adding new subjects every year to our kitty in advanced farming.
