Cordyceps militaris is a type of fungus that infects and grows on insects at the high altitudes of Himalayas, specifically the larvae and pupae of moths and butterflies. It is a very special species of mushrooms.
The final produce has a distinct, orange, club-shaped fruiting body that emerges from the host insect’s body, which has very high nutritional properties.
It has been used for centuries in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) as an herbal remedy and is now recognized as a food ingredient and supplement, the awareness about it’s application is now spreading very fast and gradually becoming part of household consumption.
Cordyceps militaries has shown potential benefits in areas including boosting energy levels and exercise performance, supporting heart health by improving cholesterol and blood flow, enhancing brain function and offering neuroprotective effects, and contributing to anti-aging and anti-inflammatory processes.
