# Introduction

Akarshak Saffron Institute (ASI) is originally a Noida-based MSME registered firm that has very recently relocated to Panchkula of Haryana. ASI is an autonomous business unit of Akarshak Farming Institute. Primarily the company conducts online training programs on the subject of Indoor Saffron Cultivation.

Ramesh Gera, the founder & director of the company, in the years of 2018 to 2020, personally developed this technique of Indoor Saffron Cultivation through self-experimenting efforts using self-designed lab equipment at home. To get the technical support, no. of times he visited Sher-e-Kashmir Agricultural University at Srinagar and Saffron Research & Development Centre at Pampore. Since the year 2021, we have been successfully growing Saffron (Kesar) in the Indoor saffron lab located at Sector 63 in Noida. The lab has been very recently relocated to Panchkula of Haryana.

Introduction Saffron

Saffron, Kesar in Hindi, also called red-gold, which comes under the category of spices, is the costliest crop in the world as it has very unique and high health benefits. It is very widely used by the pharma industry, especially in the manufacturing of Ayurvedic medicines, its application includes prevention as well as treatment of chronic diseases, there are many industrial applications, and it is also used by households as a health tonic and for puja purpurposesn the open environment in India, the Saffron is grown in Kasmir only.

Saffron Training Programs

We conduct training programs on Indoor Saffron Cultivation. Our programs are delivered online (through Zoom) and Offline at our Institute located in Panchkula. We conduct one program each (online and Offline) every month. The 2-day program is followed by a complete year of closely guided support. 

The fee for the online program is Rs. 12,000/- while that for the Offline program is 16,000/-. For the offline program, the aspiring candidates would have to come to Panchkula, and they would have to arrange for boarding & lodging of their own, however, we provide the names of a few hotels in the nearby area.

Post training support

After two days of lecturing sessions, we provide a complete year of closely guided support to our registered candidates free of any additional charges, rather our support continues for life long.

We provide contact details of good parties for Greenhouse (cold room) project work, we also provide the contact details of good seed suppliers. Other than providing the contact details of various parties, we also keep an eye on the parties so that none of the parties should ever cheat our candidates. But we aren’t involved anywhere financially.
